







NBC launched a series of news websites targeted at the top direct marketing areas across the country. Using The KIT Social Platform, NBC enabled local residents to assign a mood rating to the news content they were reading: laughing, furious, bored, intrigued, sad, or thrilled. NBC featured poll results in the website’s header, through a custom headline that noted the community’s mood about the news article; i.e. New York is furious about possible tax hikes.
Additionally, NBC used the KIT Social Platform to deliver a user-generated content tool called “So My City,” which allowed users to share images and videos from their mobile devices that they felt were a reflection of a moment that was representative of their community’s unique interests, likes and dislikes. These local moments could be submitted or accessed via mobile device or the website itself.
