British Sky Broadcasting is the leading pay-television platform in one of the most competitive television markets in the world. To add value for its existing subscribers, to retain customer loyalty, and to reach viewers in new ways, Sky wanted to offer its premium programming over broadband.
Originally launched at the start of 2006 as Sky Anytime, the aim was to deliver programming beyond the set-top-box, giving subscribers more flexibility about where and when they can watch premium programming. Since then, KIT digital has worked with Sky to develop its broadband TV platform and to expand the service to what is now called Sky Go, which includes thousands of hours of on-demand programming from a range of Sky and third-party channel brands.
